What our Lifetime policy covers
Our Lifetime policy provides long term cover for accidents and illnesses. As long as you renew your policy each year.
This means you'll be covered for any accident or illness your pet may have, but also for any long-term illnesses such as Diabetes.
How does this policy work?
An annual policy limit lets you claim up to a fixed amount each year for all accidents and illnesses.
You can choose a policy that covers vet fees from between £1,500 to £12,500 per year.
There is no limit to the number of claims you can submit. You can keep claiming until your chosen limit is reached.
Once the limit reached, you won't be able to claim until the policy renews and your chosen vet fee limit becomes available again.
For example...
If you chose the £3,500 vet fee limit, and your dog was to develop a skin condition and suffered damage to their paw, we would cover the combined cost of treatment for both conditions up to £3,500 in one year (subject to any applicable excess or co-payment).
When you renew your policy the policy limit will refresh and you'll be covered up to £3,500 again, should you need it.

Several factors are used to work out the price each year, including the age of your pet, previous claims, where you live, and the cost of vet fees. This means that your policy price is likely to increase at renewal even if you haven't made a claim. There is no limit to how much your premium may increase each year, and the increase could be significant.
Excesses apply to all our policies, and a co-payment is currently payable on claims if you renew your policy after your dog turns 8 years old.
How much cover do you need?
Our average vet claim was £1068 in 2024.
Knowing how much your dog could cost is important so you’re prepared with the right type of policy and we’re here to help with cover up to £12,500 in a year.
